Nestled in the lush mountains of Northern Thailand, Chiang Mai is a city that effortlessly blends ancient tradition with modern charm.
As I wandered through the narrow streets of the Old City, the scent of incense and street food filled the air, mingling with the melodic chants from the many temples.
The intricate carvings and serene atmospheres of Wat Phra Singh and Wat Chedi Luang left lasting impressions, showcasing the city's rich history.
Chiang Mai's charm extended to its people, whose warmth and hospitality were evident at every turn.
Whether it was a friendly smile from a market vendor or a helpful tip from a local, I felt welcomed and embraced by the community.
As I reluctantly left Chiang Mai, I carried with me a heart full of memories and a longing to return to this city of timeless beauty and gentle spirit.

Bordered by Chiang Rai to the northeast, Lampang and Lamphun to the south, Tak to the southwest, Mae Hong Son to the west, and Shan State of Burma to the north. The capital, Chiang Mai, is 685 km north of Bangkok.
The famous old city of Chiang Mai within its ancient walls in the mountainous northern part of Thailand, founded in 1296 and is now the second largest city after Bangkok. Chiang Mai is almost the only city where the old walls are still mostly intact.
Up from Chiang Dao Cave is Padung Village and the āLong Neck Karenā ethnic hill-tribe. The women wear brass rings around their necks, wrists and ankles. Explore, with respect, the village to get a feel of their culture and way of life, before supporting their income by purchasing a few souvenirs.
The highest peak in Thailand, rises 2,565 metres above sea level. A sanctuary for a wide range of animal species and perhaps the best place in Thailand for bird-watching, approximately 362 different species, many of which are not found anywhere else in Thailand.
The spectacular Bali Hai pier area and Pattaya City Sign.
